The Lions club annual brunch will be held on April 26 at the Veterans Hall, (formerly the Legion Hall) at 141 Grand Moulin from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. All the proceeds will be donated to La Chacuniere, an organization whose mission is to build a home for mentally challenged young adults.
We will serve our famous brunch, consisting of scrambled eggs,bacon,sausages,home fries, toast ,coffee and tea. accompanied by lots of good cheer.
Prices are as follows: Adults $ 6.00
Children 5-12 years old $ 3.00
Children under 5 years old eat free.

On May 23rd we will be holding our Garage sale at the Chalet on 13th Avenue. For donations please call Art at 450-473-2503 who will arrange for pick.up. We will be serving hot dogs, home fries outside. Inside the Chalet you can sit down and enjoy Pat's famous cabbage rolls with a nice cup of tea and coffee and a delicious item from the bake sale which will be held there as well.
Tables to sell your own Garage sale items are available for $ 10.00. and can be reserved by calling Lion Owen Ryder at 450-974-4167.
Giant Book Fair: Yes it is back for this Fall. The sale will be held on October 17th and 18th at the Veterans Hall on 141 Grand Moulin. . We will start accepting books in March 2009 and will accept all books except National Geographic Magazines and encyclopedias. Dictionaries on the other hand will be most welcome.
On Saturdays: books may be dropped of at the Maison des Citoyens( under the library) from 10:00 am to 12:00am, ( The old entrance to the Maison des Citoyens on the south side).
On weekdays: books may be dropped off from 10:00 am to 12:00 am. and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. at the new entrance to the Maison des Citoyens ( on the west side) Please call Mr Ouellet at 450-473-7450 to make sure someone will be there to receive your books.
If you are physically unable to deliver the books , or for information please call Betty or Martin Hensen at 450-473-1932 or Dave Byers at 450-472-7054 and we will arrange for pickup when the manpower is available.

New members are always welcome and if you would like to serve your community, and learn more about how we operate and work together, you are welcome to attend one of our meetings. Fees are very reasonable and affordable to all. Just call any one of the Lion members and let them know that you are interested to learn more about Lionism. We have increased our membership in the past year and we have now 29 members and are growing. We have wheelchairs, canes, crutches, walkers and other such equipment that we loan out at no cost for use in the community, though a donation after use is always appreciated. Please contact Lion Bert Klotz at 514-214-0683 who will arrange for the loan of the equipment.
